Delavan Tower Park
Keystone Tower Park
Keystone Tower Park
Angus-Young worked with the City of Delavan to modernize and update their existing keystone downtown Tower Park. Teaming with R.H. Batterman, Angus-Young lead the park redesign team and open house meetings with the community. The design integrates existing and new park features to draw attention to the park. Existing signature elements of the park, such as the circus giraffe and elephant statues, are proposed to become more integrated into the park fabric. The existing historic water tower remains, with a new pinwheel canvas shade feature added to the tower supports. New elements to the park include a water feature and pergola structures, which draw attention to the park, yet do not block views through the park. A wider walkway and seating areas allow for looping through the park and special events. The team brought fresh ideas to unify the park, with a mind for visitor experiences and city ease of maintenance.
Hospitality
Phase 1 renovations consisted of the Pool Hall only. The design included a complete bar and back bar redesign, revitalization of existing wood floors and adding tile accent around the bar, new wall finishes throughout including brick and wallcovering, as well as lighting and signage updates. The Great Dane’s desire was to maintain true to their german pub feel, but update and modernize that concept.
